Introduce us to your family!
After meeting on Valentine's, Praveen and I have been married 11 years. We have Meera Violette (MVP) who is 3.75 years old. It's crazy to think, but we also have Veer Invictus (VIP) who just turned one year old!
How long have you been a member of F4M Naperville? What made you come to your first class and which classes have you participated in?
Facebook advertising all things pregnancy made me aware of the FIT4BABY program and when I found I had gestational diabetes I made a point to get to a few more classes back when pregnant with Meera. I had no idea what an amazing community I was getting into back then!! So, I've done a number of different classes and programs with FITT4MOM Naperville over the past 4 years. I've done a few sessions of Body Well which I really appreciate the focus on overall wellness. I like the social aspects for both me and my kids at the stroller classes as well as being able to make the work out what I need and can manage any given day...360 kind of scares me still as I think Barre is my favorite! Ignite and yoga are also fun!!! Most recently now Veer and I have done a few more sessions of FIT4BABY and then all three of us have really enjoyed the stroller classes at the 'good park' with the zip line or with crafts over the summer!
What are your favorite things to do with your family?
Travel, eat out (when Veer is not in his screeching mood), lots of park district activities, go to parks, see grandma and grandpa, and just hang out playing bubbles and chalk!
What would you say to a mom considering joining our village?
DO IT! Please pull up your stroller with me. I've never been good at exercising or putting myself first, but FIT4MOM has given me daily opportunities to put myself first and confidence to work out. New or seasoned moms need FIT4MOM, not just for the workouts but all the things this village has to offer!
What has been your biggest gain since joining FIT4MOM Naperville?
Honestly, since joining FIT4MOM I feel more like myself again and not just my mom identity. It's hard to explain, but I love all the realness of the women in this group.
