Introduce us to your family!
I work at the Healthcare Financial Management Association and my husband Davis works in IT for Kane County. We are married 22 years this month and have 2 sons. Sam, is 19 years old, a Sophomore at the College of DuPage and Ben, is 16 years old, a Junior at Naperville North High School. We also have 3 furry family members, Mable and Glade (schnauzer mix sisters) and Rey (hound mix) who keep life exciting.
How long have you been a member of F4M Naperville? What made you come to your first class and which classes have you participated in?
I joined Fit4Mom Naperville in Fall 2021. I love being outdoors and was interested in the outdoor workouts. My first class was Body Well. I completed 3 sessions with Coach Nina, loved the variety of HIIT workouts, meal planning and met wonderful moms.
I think I have participated in every class Fit4Mom Naperville offers, even the 5:15 am Ignite (thanks to the 2023 Galantine Challenge). My favorite classes are Boost (challenging myself with the HIIT workouts), Strides 360 (cardio/running and conditioning) and Run Club (the most supportive group of moms and a dedicated coach, all helping me to achieve my running goals).
What are your favorite things to do with your family?
We love spending time outside, cooking together and recently my husband and I started taking dance classes. We recently explored several National Parks in Tennessee and Kentucky.
What would you say to a mom considering joining our village?
The first class is free, you have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Fit4Mom Naperville is for moms of all stages of motherhood. Take the time and invest in yourself, there is something for everyone, evening classes, weekend classes, run club, morning stroller classes (where you can attend with or without your little ones!), book club, social events and more.
What has been your biggest gain since joining FIT4MOM Naperville?
Investing in my health and making myself a priority has made me a better wife, mom and caregiver. This investment has so many positive outcomes, I am physically and mentally stronger (thanks to the instructors/coaches and the fabulous friends that keep me accountable) and I am having fun doing it.
